Peru Aromas del Valle

With notes of dried fig, caramel, and almond, this Peruvian single-origin offers a smooth, full-bodied experience with a hint of fruity sweetness and a nutty finish. It’s perfect for those looking for a rich, well-rounded cup

Aromas del Valle comes from the provinces of La Coipa and San Jose de Lourdes in San Ignacio, Cajamarca, the third-largest coffee region in northern Peru. The region consists entirely of the Andes mountain range. High altitudes, lush jungles, and fertile clay soil create ideal conditions for growing coffee. These remote areas are home to many indigenous Incas whose main occupations are farming and coffee production. As in the rest of the country, the coffee is grown here by small farmers on plantations of about 2-3 hectares.

San Ignacio coffee growers use sustainable and organic farming methods and experiment with different processing methods. Coffee production is a central economic activity in the region, involving families and entire communities in cooperation and knowledge sharing. In addition to coffee, local farmers grow yucca, corn, and sugarcane.
